Peter Nielsen - NATO Commander on resilience in difficult times

About the guest:

Peter Nielsen – Independent Board Member of LTG Group (LTU Railroads), Ret. Col. Danish Armed Forces, Reserve Officer at DNK National Military Representation Office at NATO Strategic HQ in Belgium, Former commander NATO Force Integration Unit, Lithuania.

Peter shares about himself: With over 30 years of leadership experience in complex national and international organizations I have built a strong foundation in strategic leadership, organisational and personal development and crisis, security and change management.

My career has given me the opportunity to lead and develop teams across functional, organisational and cultural boundaries, where I have held overall responsibility for everything from strategic planning to execution. I am known for my ability to create cohesion and ensure that the best decisions are made – through inclusive dialogue, being goal oriented and with a clear overview in high-pressure situations.

I thrive working both strategically and operationally, and I am passionate about developing both organizations and their people. The last four years have given me a broad network in Lithuania covering political level, military and civilian sector.

I am a curious and knowledgeable person always looking for mental and physical challenges to learn and grow.

And I am also; a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a bookworm, a physical training addict, husband to a Lithuanian wife, in love with Lithuania and a private investor.

About the event:

In the face of war, crisis, and high-stakes leadership, resilience isn’t just a trait – it’s a necessity. Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking session with Peter, NATO Commander, as he shares first-hand insights on building resilience through the most challenging circumstances: from preparing for and navigating the realities of war to managing personal crises and making difficult decisions in high-pressure environments.

  • Strengthen their resilience in the face of difficult decisions and conversations
  • Improve team efficiency, productivity, and quality of life
